on the upcoming Bank Holidays, discover the tranquillity of the
surrounding countryside, read the paper in bed or spend a day
shopping in the lovely city of Winchester… Whatever you decide
we’ll take good care of you the moment you step through our front
door.
With an abundance of atmosphere and character, your stay can
take you on a memorable journey without leaving the hotel grounds.
Tucked away behind a traditional wooden gate just next to the
parking turning circle, you’ll find our ancient, walled kitchen
garden which has been restored beyond its former glory. We invite
you to take a stroll up to the garden, have a chat to our talented
kitchen gardener Peter and try some of the fresh herbs and
vegetables growing there. Apart from supplying our award-winning
kitchen with the freshest of ingredients, the garden is also the
perfect spot for early evening drinks, lunch or afternoon tea.
This beautiful setting is also home to our very special
residents including Benji and Bella, the Bengal Eagle Owls; Jasper,
Lottie and Jacob, the Harris Hawks; Lady Chudleigh and Dawley,
our Barn Owls, Mumble our Chaco Owl and new to 2013, Anna our
