We stayed here for one night as stop off before
heading off to the Isle of Wight - we just wished now that we had
stayed for longer! We had a beautiful room, lovely and spacious and
the bathroom was incredible, with a free standing bath and amazing
walk in shower.
We had a few bellinis on the terrace overlooking
the stunning scenery before having the most incredible dinner. We
opted for the Tasting Menu with matching wines and we were really
impressed - the service and food were fantastic and the sommelier
was very informative about the wines chosen, all in all a great
evening!
We just about managed the full english the next
day and left feeling totally relaxed. It really is a beautiful
place and it was the perfect start to a long weekend.

Just heavenly! From the moment that you sweep up
the drive you disappear into another world........opulent
surroundings, wonderful little touches and caring attentive staff.

A six star experience
This
is one of a handful of the best hotels I've ever stayed in, and
I've stayed in lots around the world and at home in 40 years of
business travel. Lainston is an experience more than a hotel, and
on the two occasions I've recently stayed , a flawless one. The
only way to improve it would be to make it cheaper, which would
actually make it worse, so stump up - it isn't actually THAT
expensive. And for around 30% more than a stay at the Vanilla Inn
or wherever, you will not be disappointed in a single thing -
rooms, grounds, staff, food, ambience. Promise.
